SR2 are supporting a Bristol based Cyber Security company, who build their very own products & services exclusively for the UK Government & Defense organisations and are helping to protect highly classified data with their products, along with solving highly complex problems.

Cyber Security is a hot market right now, and we are seeing more and more opprotunities and demand for Java software engineers in the industry. This is a role for an experienced Java developer to join a smaller sized firm who have grown from 50 up to 90 heads over the past 12 months, some impressive growth!

You'd be joining a forward thinking, and relatively young business who have been dominating their market and now have an industry leading cyber security product protecting UK data. As a Java software engineer in their team, you'll be on site 3 days per week in Filton and 2 days working remotely, as the team grows more (which they plan to) those days are likely to become less in the office.

Working with a modern tech stack of Java 8 up to 21, Spring boot, Microservices, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, RabbitMQ, Linux, JUnit and more.

As a Software Engineer in their team here in Bristol, you will have a lot of say and ownership over the work and will get the satisfaction of seeing things all the way from discovery through the delivery.

Requirements:

  • You'll need to be eligible for DV level clearance (British citizen/national with 10+ years living/working in the UK)
  • Confident Mid-weight experience level up to senior
  • Strong experience in Java and Spring boot Microservices development
  • Commercial experience with DevOps tools such as Terrraform and Kubernetes
  • Experienced working with Linux
  • RabbitMQ (or similar technology)
