Brief Summary

Our client requires a lead Architect for their defence project. This is a full-time position working hybrid on a contract basis  

Main duties of the job:

  • Lead the architecture development for a weapon system
  • Own and maintain the Architecture Vision
  • Support the capture activity breakdowns / plans and key milestones associated with the architecture development
  • Manage the delivery of work packages
  • Ensure coherence of the architecture with the broader Weapon System Architecture, including decomposition traceability, interface definition etc
  • Guide the team in the process and implementation of using the architecture model to support and drive design definition

QUALIFICATION/ SPECIAL TRAINING

  • Strong background in complex systems architecture
  • Practitioner of MBSE across Defence/Aerospace or similar
  • Understanding or experience of Architectural principles in a product line environment or similar
  • Ability to influence and lead effectively
  • Ability to autonomously lead work packages
  • Proficiency with;
  • Rhapsody (essential) & SysML
  • IBM Engineering Workflow Management (formerly Rational Team Concert) (essential)
  • DOORS Next Generation (ideal)
