Principal Developer | .Net Core | Azure | Bristol | Hybrid | £90,000

One of Method Resourcing's clients is about to undertake a major transformation project as they utilise new .Net core and Azure to create a new administration platform. Over the coming months, they will be hiring multiple Senior and Junior Developers to join the team and support on this huge body of work.

They are currently looking for their new Principal Developer who will work closely with the Head of Architecture to make decisions that will drive the business from the top down.

This will be a challenging role that will see you work on a Greenfield software solution whilst ensuring the legacy system continues to run effectively until the data has been entirely migrated.

What You'll Do:

  • Guide architectural discussions and make decisions on Design Patterns.
  • Drive excellence in software design, development, and architecture, contributing to the modernisation of monolithic applications and migration to Azure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, efficient solutions that meet business and client needs.
  • Investigate and resolve performance, scalability, and security challenges.
  • Maintain high standards of code quality and software engineering practices.

What We're Looking For:

  • Extensive experience with modern .NET technologies, including .NET Core & Azure. As well as an understanding of reading legacy code, including VB.net
  • Proven ability to design and lead complex software projects and guide teams through transformational change.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with stakeholders and driving consensus on technical solutions.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, architecture principles, and agile methodologies.
  • Expertise in optimising applications for cloud environments, particularly Azure.
