A major Shopify Plus Agency is looking for an experienced Principal Developer to join their team as they move into the next stage of growth.

What youll be doing
Our client is a well-established Shopify Plus eCommerce agency. Since starting, they have gone from strength to strength. These guys are honest, no mess, but incredibly supportive. Youll be joining them as they are moving into a new stage of growth. With a lot of new projects coming in as well as consistent retained clients, you will be able to build, create, and deploy solutions across a variety of different roles. You will be working in a fast-paced environment creating simple, fast, and efficient solutions. As a competitor in the digital space, youll be working with the newest tech, be supported to investigate and research for projects, and develop ideas on how to provide innovative solutions.

As this is a Principal Position, you will be the 2nd in command to the CTO. This means we are looking for people with good management skills as well as having strong Shopify skills. Your core responsibilities will cover providing clear time & financial estimates for key projects, making sure multiple teams are keeping to plans/roadmaps, working with DevOps processes, and working with the CTO to implement processes & long-term plans.
You will also need to be someone who is experienced, knowledgeable, & personable, while at the same time being invested in the Shopify Development as a whole.

What experience youll need
  • Strong experience with Shopify and web development.
  • Strong experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6, React, etc), and Liquid.
  • Strong experience managing teams and Clients across all stages of the SDLC.
  • Experience across both the Frontend & Backend.
  • Key experience with Shopify APIs and Third-Party APIs (GraphQL and REST).
  • Shopify template experience, debugging, and customisation.
  • Experience with Headless commerce i.e, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Centra, etc.
  • Experience in an Agile environment i.e. Sprints, Clean coding, etc.
  • Experience deploying in a DevOps environment.
  • Following Clean-Coding principals at all times including Documentation.
  • Key experience providing clear and achievable time/financial estimates.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced agency environment.
