Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead a cross-functional product engineering team focused on the investment and financial markets
  • Drive technical delivery, continuous improvement, and innovation within the team.
  • Partner closely with technical and business leaders to understand and design solutions that improve business processes and data flows.
  • Recruit and develop a high-performing team, ensuring a culture of purpose, excellence, and psychological safety.
  • Take ownership of services under your team, including maintenance, support, security, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and maintain a motivated team environment, driven to make a difference.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong technology leadership experience within complex organisations. Line management of 6, indirect management of 30.
  • Proven ability to manage scope, technology, quality, and best practices while empowering teams to find optimal solutions.
  • Experience in a product-driven environment, collaborating closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders.
  • Strong people focus, with a commitment to learning and development, team motivation, and building a culture based on psychological safety.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and seek clarity through collaboration and communication.
  • Strong software engineering background with the ability to define and communicate complex architectural concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
