Copello is working with a well-respected global defence company who are looking for a Senior Software Simulation Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in advancing the Typhoon Active Cockpit simulator. You will be able to contribute to the next generation of aviation and defence systems, working on high-impact projects that shape the future of national security.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop and integrate software for the Typhoon Active Cockpit simulator.
  • Take ownership of requirements, design, system integration, and testing.
  • Produce technical documentation and provide progress reports to leadership.
  • Collaborate with customers to resolve issues and enhance system performance.
  • Lead and manage allocated tasks, ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
  • Support the development of new business opportunities within the team.

Your Skills and Experience: Essential:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Maths, or Physics.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
  • Experience with configuration control tools and Microsoft Visual Studio or similar.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of avionics/mission systems and cockpit design.
  • Familiarity with Linux and Jira.
  • Previous task leadership and quality management experience.
