As a Software Engineering Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Leadership:
- Lead and inspire a backend engineering team to create innovative solutions.
- Encourage continuous improvement, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and creativity.
- Make data-driven decisions to guide technical direction and execution.
- Build a high-performing, inclusive team by attracting and developing talented engineers.
Team Building:
- Cultivate a culture of purpose and excellence, motivating the team and aligning them with business goals.
- Prioritise learning and development (L&D) for your team, fostering psychological safety and collaboration.
Technical Delivery:
- Excel at prioritisation and capacity planning, guiding your team to deliver high-quality projects on time.
- Own the delivery and continuous improvement of services, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and scalable.
- Partner with technical and business stakeholders to design solutions that drive better outcomes for clients and colleagues.
