Have experience working with SEMH within schools or very similar?Reed Education Bristol are currently seeking an experienced SEMH Learning Support Assistant to support pupils within a local Specialist school with their learning journeys. This is to start as soon as possible and could be both day-to-day or long-term cover. 

The school is a large Specialist School located within the heart of Bristol, supporting pupils with Severe and Profound Learning Difficulties, Complex Needs, Autism and Sensory Impairment from 3-19 years. The school values the importance that all pupils should enjoy their time with them in order for them to be engaged and learn to their full potential. They cater to over 160 pupils across their site and are extremely passionate about each pupils progress, happiness and care, providing a bespoke curriculum of innovation and creativity. The school were recently inspected by Ofsted and were awarded 'Outstanding' in all areas.

As the Learning Support Assistant, you will:• Be a patient, passionate and resilient individual, ideally with relative experience• Have experience supporting Social, Emotional Mental Health in young people with a positive and patient manner - essential• Be available as soon as possible for five days per week on an ongoing basis• Be open to working with individuals and small groups, depending on the needs of the day• Have an Enhanced DBS (Child) on the Update Service – or be willing to obtain one

The salary for this position is currently set between £80-95 per day.
