We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Bristol (Brislington), to support a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN). If you have experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, Non-Verbal needs, or other high needs, this could be the role for you!

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with children who have SEN, helping them to achieve their targets and supporting their development in a mainstream school setting. You'll need to be adaptable, empathetic, and committed to providing an inclusive environment for a child with ASD, ADHD, Non-Verbal needs, and more.

  • Support children with SEN in achieving their learning and developmental goals.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with other teachers and professionals to create tailored learning plans.
  • Provide direct support to children with high needs, including those with ASD, ADHD, and Non-Verbal communication needs.

Key Requirements:

  • Maths and English GCSE grade A*- C / 9 - 4 or equivalent
  • Prior experience supporting children with SEN.
  • A passion for working inclusively with children with additional needs, especially ASD, ADHD, and Non-Verbal.
  • A nurturing and patient approach to supporting children's unique needs.
