An exciting opportunity has arisen in a Primary school in Bristol for a SEN Teaching Assistant. They are looking for a teaching assistant to join them ASAP. The role involves supporting a Year 1 or Year 4 pupil on a 1-2-1 basis, focusing on children with Autism or Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs (SEMH). A strong background in Maths and English is ideal, and the school is particularly looking for someone with previous experience in SEN. The successful candidate should be confident in working with challenging behaviour.

Experience with SEN is desirable. The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level (Level 3 and above accepted) and will have worked within a primary, secondary, or SEN school, or alternatively, have experience working in a child-focused environment such as sports, childcare, or other relevant settings. Since the class includes several children with EHCPs, previous experience with Special Educational Needs is highly valued.

This is a full-time position with hours from 8.30am - 4pm. The daily pay rate ranges between £90 and £100 per day, depending on experience.
