Long-Term Teachers work with a variety of Primary schools across Bristol who cater for children with additional learning and behavioural needs. These schools are always seeking Teaching Assistants to support children on a 1 to 1 basis.
Every school aims to allow each pupil to develop their full potential, not only academically, but as independent children, in a positive, caring and supportive environment.
The Role
There are a number of positions available from January, including full-time and part-time roles.
The type of positions available are different too; you have the opportunity to work 1 to 1 with pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, however, some Primary Schools have classrooms specifically to support children with ASD and other needs through specific environments.
You will be expected to:

Have a calm, patient and empathetic nature.

Have a desire to engage and support children and young people in learning and education.

Previous experience of working in an educational or care setting with children, young people or vulnerable adults with learning difficulties.

Be able to communicate clearly with Staff, pupils and Carers.
