SEN Teaching Assistant - Bristol - BS3
An excellent Mainstream Primary School based in Bedminster, Bristol are looking for a SEN teaching assistant to join them ASAP. This is a challenging but rewarding SEN teaching assistant position, providing the opportunity to work with a group of SEN children with either or a combination of Autism, ADHD and social/emotional mental health issues.
- 83.33 - 120 per day, depending on experience
- Full-time, Monday - Friday 8.30am to 4pm
- Term time only
- Bristol - BS3
About the role
- Start ASAP
- Providing assistance to children with complex needs and/or physical disabilities including ADHD, ASD, global delay, SEMH, physical and behavioural challenges
- Using effective behaviour management strategies to monitor and diffuse difficult situations.
- Personal care for pupils
The right candidate
- Maths and English at GCSE grade 4/C or above
- Experience working with SEN children - for example youth work, support work, mental health work or SEN in sport
- Empathetic with excellent communication skills
