Here at Long-Term Teachers, we are working closely with a Primary School in the BS35 area of South Gloucestershire. They are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis with 2 pupils in their KS2 class.

This school is a vibrant and creative school with an excellent reputation as a caring and successful school, where they strive for each of their children to be the best that they can be. Being a small village school, they work in collaboration with the community to ensure the children have the best learning experiences.

The Role

This role is a full-time position, where the successful candidate will be expected to work as a 1 to 1 SEN Teaching Assistant. You will be supporting the learning and social development of ASD needs.

You will work in collaboration with the SENCO and Class Teacher to understand the pupilsā€™ needs and how to meet their needs through adapting lessons and environments.

You will be expected to:

  • Be adaptable and flexible around the needs of the pupil.

  • Have good knowledge of the educational curriculum.

  • Communicate clearly with Class Teachers about the pupilsā€™ progress.

  • Be flexible, creative and adaptable.

  • Have high expectations of pupils through motivation, encouragement and confidence.
