We're working on behalf of a fantastic special school based in South Bristol that are looking SEN Teaching Assistants to join them, ideally for as soon as possible! The school look after a wide range of special needs & disabilities that include SLD, Complex Needs & ASD for students aged 4-19.
The school are well respected in the local area and have gone through exciting facility changes recently. We have a couple of candidates currently working at the school in long-term capacities who are incredibly complimentary of the school and the lovely staff there.
The role
The role of SEN Teaching Assistant will revolve around supporting the class teacher with whatever they need. The role of TA requires you to be proactive - this is crucial o be successful as a TA. The school are in a position that they are able to accept applications from part-time & full-time candidates.
Due to the complex needs of the students it is preferable that you would have experience of working with SEND in some capacity. Also preferably you would have worked in a school setting before.
