We're working on behalf of a brilliant special school based in Thornbury that are looking for SEND Learning Support Assistants from January on a full-time or part-time basis. The school look after an incredibly wide range of special needs & disabilities (SLD, Complex Needs, MLD, ASD & SEMH).

They are a fantastic school that are split into a primary & secondary site (both based very close by). They are well established and manage to boast a high retention rate with staff.

The role

The school are currently looking for LSA's that can support the school in either a full-time or more ad hoc capacity. Due to the complex needs of the students it is essential that you have experience working with special needs & disabilities - either in schools or in support work.

The role of LSA is varied but is focused around providing the class teacher with whatever support they need. You must be proactive, adaptable and feel confident dealing with challenging behaviour.
