We're working on behalf of a fantastic new special school based in North Bristol that are looking for 2 full-time SEND Learning Support Assistants to join them from end of February on a long-term basis. The school look after students with a wide range of special needs & disabilities which will often be complex needs.

The school are part of an SEN Trust that are very well respected in Bristol and they are very proud of the fantastic new facilities available at this new site. They have been open since September but are slowly opening more classes throughout the year - this would be an incredibly exciting time to be joining the team.

The role

Both vacancies are available within a new KS1 class of 8 students with SLD, PMLD & Complex needs (some of these students are non verbal). The role of LSA is heavily revolved around supporting the class teacher with whatever they need and being constantly proactive throughout the day.

Due to the needs of the students it is important that you have worked with SEND before, preferably within a school setting. The students will be working with the Early Years model so also experience with this area would be preferable.
