Special needs teaching assistant required full time for primary school just outside of Bristol

Zen Educate are currently looking for a special needs teaching assistant to take on full tie work at a primary school just off the Bristol ring road near Emersons Green starting asap. This is to support a student with an EHCP and has been diagnosed on the autistic spectrum. Working hours are 8:30 - 3:30, Monday to Friday and term time only. This is a long term requirement so we are looking for someone that can provide some routine and consistency for the student.

The primary school is based in a small village just outside of the Bristol city boundaries. The student is described as having many ups and downs in terms of their mood and how engaged they are with their school work. So we are therefore looking for someone that is able to adapt and handle behaviours the best way possible whilst using the school policy.

The school are looking for someone that has lots of experience working and supporting those with autism. This can either be from a previous school post or from an alternative job role. The ideal person will be need to be approachable to younger children, have lots of patience and empathy as well as strong boundaries.
