An inclusive specialist school for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs based in Bristol are looking for Teaching Assistants to support children with behaviour and mental health issues. Graduates who have qualified in Psychology, Counselling or Criminology would be great for this but candidates with relevant experience will also be considered! This school has great transport links and the role is full-time starting ASAP. The SEN students are aged 8 to 18 and all have significant developmental trauma, emotional needs and behavioural challenges so the successful mental health assistant will be supporting each individual's wellbeing and personal development.

This is a FANTASTIC opportunity for the successful mental health assistant to work alongside the therapists and psychologists based on-site at school. In this role you will build frontline, practical experience with young people with significant needs and learn to understand how to communicate and support them, through the help of trained professionals and experienced team members. Plus you will gain invaluable experience working with Special Needs such as Autism and ADHD. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring educational or occupational psychologist, therapist, counsellor, teacher or even criminal justice officer!

The SEMH School is looking for a Mental Health Assistant/Teaching Assistant who can bring enthusiasm, passion and experience to the classroom. They are looking for a SEN TA who will be proactive and adaptable and be able to use their own initiative. Resilience and confidence to work with challenging behaviour is desirable!

The children in this school require a teaching assistant who understands their complex needs and is open-minded and up for a challenge. The children have varying needs although emotional and mental health needs is their main provision. Suitable experience can include working with SEN children and/or adults in any setting, even on a personal level such as with family. Level 3 qualifications+ are also required and a Degree would be most desirable.
