I'm working on behalf of a brilliant special school that are looking for candidates with experience working with special needs & disabilities to join them for after half term. The school look after students aged 4-16 with a wide range of special needs which includes Complex Needs, ASD, SLD, MLD and PMLD.

The school are truly amazing, they provide such a valuable service to these students and their families. They boast top of the range facilities and due to the complex needs needs of the students they put the students happiness at the centre of everything they do.

The role

The role of LSW is varied at this school, it centres around supporting the teachers with whatever they need but it is mostly just providing general classroom/1-1 support. The needs of many of the students are very complex so experience working with special needs & disabilities is crucial, which is why they're open to applications from people with experience outside of schools (though this is a preference!).

Ideally the successful candidate would be available on a full-time basis but the school are able to accept applications from strong candidates looking for part-time.
