Are you a confident and experienced Speech and Language Therapist seeking a rewarding role with a variety of challenges? We are looking for a skilled professional to join our team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.
About the RoleYou will be working predominantly with a primary school caseload, with additional responsibilities in secondary schools. This includes supporting children and young people with a wide range of complex needs such as:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Social Communication Difficulties
- Developmental Language Disorder (DLD)
- Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
The role will be based in a range of settings, including mainstream and SEMH primary and secondary schools.
Key Responsibilities- Independently managing a diverse caseload.
- Providing tailored therapy and intervention plans to support pupils’ communication and social development.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach.
- Traveling between schools and settings as required (a valid driving license is essential).
- HCPC Registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Demonstrated experience working with children and young people with complex communication needs.
- Confidence in working independently and managing a varied caseload.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to making a difference in the lives of children and young people.
- Access to a car for travel between work settings (essential).
