Sea Global are proud to be working with a household name FMCG company, who are currently in the midst of a huge growth and transformation period, resulting in this exciting Head of Procurement vacancy. They have sites globally but this role will be based from Bristol on a hybrid basis and they are looking for someone to come in and hit the ground running.

They are looking for someone to spearhead a division of the Procurement Function, you will be a true Senior member within the organisation, working with C-suite stakeholders, and help drive continuous improvement across the function.

The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic oversight of the Logistics and Manufacturing categories and deliver efficient and effective process improvements.

This includes developing category strategies, managing supplier relationships and performance, conducting market analysis, developing and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead procurement process across sourcing and operational procurement processes covering the Logistics, Manufacturing and Energy catgeries.
  • Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business goals, focusing on value, sustainability, and compliance
  • Negotiate and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as across all business departments, ensuring close collaboration and alignment with the central procurement function
  • Oversee procurement processes from cradle to grave, being responsible for the ongoing development of your team
  • Assist in, manage and implement changes that result in the procurement function becoming more efficient and sustainable
  • Oversee supplier performance management, fostering strategic partnerships and cross-functional alignment.
  • Direct high-impact projects, provide guidance on contract management, and optimize procurement systems.
  • Manage team performance, budget, and risk, driving continuous improvement and staying ahead of industry trends.

Experience & Requirements

  • Extensive leadership experience in procurement and supply chain management ideally within the FMCG/Retail/Manufacturing sector
  • Proven expertise in driving change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Strong background in building and managing strategic supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and standards.
  • Skilled in implementing and optimizing procurement systems to enhance efficiency and streamline operations.
