Leading and well-established firm of commercial property Chartered Surveyors with offices in the South West region has a great opportunity for a Rating Surveyor to join the team in their Bristol office.
The Role
With a growing client base and new opportunities this position has arisen to assist with all aspects of business rates advice from engaging with clients to undertaking Checks, Challenges and Appeals for existing clients.
Main Duties
- Conducting business development activities to expand professional network.
- Inspecting commercial properties and leisure businesses.
- Advising clients on rateable values and mitigation strategies.
- Submitting Checks and Challenges.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of existing experience in providing rating advice/appeal services.
- Ability to inspect and measure bulk class properties (office, rental and industrial).
- Possession of practical understanding of the CCA process and experience of lodging Checks and Challenges.
- Strong verbal and numerical skills and adept at report writing.
- Commercial acumen and knowledge of relevant strategies /tactics.
Salary and Benefits
Salary from £40,000, commensurate with experience and skills.
