Tax Assistant (Accountancy Practice)

The Client:
Our client is a well-established accountancy firm, specialising in audit, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, and other financial services.
The Role:
As a Tax Assistant, you will be preparing and reviewing tax returns, P11Ds, and ATED returns, alongside supporting the Senior Tax Manager in tax planning projects and compliance tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Handling trust tax returns, annual declarations, and share transfers.
- Collaboration within the team to address queries and support colleagues
- Management of client correspondence, ensuring accuracy and client updates
- Performing tax calculations and processing overpayment relief claims
- Liaising with clients to fulfil requests such as SA302 / Tax year overviews and repayment chasing
Requirements:
- Previously worked as a Tax Assistant or in a similar role.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- ATT qualified or part-qualified.
- Skilled in  in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills.
