Regional Area & Site Manager

Location:Bristol
Salary:£42,000 per annum + Performance Bonus
Hours:Full-time (Monday-Friday with rotational on-call weekends)

About Us:

Westbourne Motors is a leading provider of motoring assistance services across Southern England. We support a broad range of clients, including major motoring organisations, police authorities, motor dealers, independent garages, crash repair specialists, and the general public. With our continued growth, were seeking a motivated Regional Area & Site Manager to join our Bristol team.

The Role:

As the Regional Area & Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Bristol site, managing a team of recovery drivers and site staff. You will work closely with the Regional Operations Manager to monitor performance and ensure the smooth and efficient running of the site. This is a hands-on role where you will also assist with difficult recoveries and act as Incident Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities:

People Management:

  • Lead the training and career development of roadside staff.
  • Ensure all staff have the correct PPE and tooling in compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Identify and address staff training needs.
  • Monitor and coach team performance.
  • Assist recovery drivers with complex recoveries and provide onsite support where necessary.
  • Line management of a team of 20-30 drivers and a oversee site operations in a 24/7 business.

Site Management:

  • Recruit and manage non-roadside staff.
  • Oversee site safety, productivity, and profitability.
  • Manage fleet allocation, vehicle changes, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure the workshops and yard operates efficiently, adhering to safety and company policies.

Administration:

  • Oversee parking administration.
  • Conduct regular inspections of staff, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Assist with staff inductions and ongoing training.
  • Handle various administrative duties as required.

What Were Looking For:

  • Proven experience in team management, ideally within a roadside assistance, transport, or logistics environment.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership and coaching skills.
  • The ability to manage a wide range of operational duties and perform well under pressure.
  • Flexibility to be on-call and assist outside of core working hours.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 18:00 (with one day off mid-week).
  • On-call every third weekend.
  • Additional hours may be required to meet business needs.
