Roles and Responsibilities as an Assistant Transport Planner:
As an Assistant Transport Planner, you will:

  • Assist in preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Site Access Appraisals, and Travel Plans.
  • Support the design of highways and junctions, contributing to infrastructure projects.
  • Utilize software tools such as ARCADY, PICADY, TRICS, Tempro, and AutoCAD.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative development solutions.
  • Build strong communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications and Experience as an Assistant Transport Planner:

  • A background in development planning, either in private practice or local government (desirable but not essential for entry-level applicants).
  • A keen interest in the UK development planning process.
  • A team-focused approach with enthusiasm to learn and grow professionally.
  • Familiarity with transport planning software (desirable).
