Senior/Principal Transport Planner
Overview
My client, a leading provider of transport planning, traffic engineering, and infrastructure design services, is seeking to expand their team in response to increased demand and the evolving scope of their projects across the UK. They are looking to recruit a Senior or Principal Transport Planner to join their offices in either Bristol, Sheffield, or Nottingham.
Roles and Responsibilities
This role involves contributing to the development planning process by providing expert advice and delivering key services such as Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Site Access Appraisals, and Travel Plans. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in highway and junction design, along with strong report writing and communication skills. Familiarity with software tools such as ARCADY, PICADY, TRICS, Tempro, and AutoCAD is essential.
You will be joining a dynamic and supportive team, working closely with colleagues to develop creative solutions for a variety of transport planning challenges. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to grow professionally, broaden their technical knowledge, and progress within the company.
Qualifications and Experience
- Significant experience in development planning, with a strong understanding of the UK planning process, gained either in private practice or local government.
- Demonstrable experience in Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Site Access Appraisals, Travel Plans, and highway/junction design.
- Proficiency with ARCADY, PICADY, TRICS, Tempro, and AutoCAD.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- A collaborative, "can-do" attitude and the ability to solve complex transport-related issues.
