About the Company:A leading consultancy in the South West of England, known for delivering innovative planning and landscape services across the UK, is seeking ambitious Senior Planners and Principal Planners to join their dynamic Planning and EIA Team. This is an exciting opportunity for top town planning candidates looking to contribute to high-profile projects, particularly in the energy, renewables, and minerals sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and lead major projects in the renewables sector and other significant planning applications across England, Scotland, and Wales.
  • Act as a key contributor to feasibility studies, planning applications, environmental reviews, and documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and environmental stakeholders, providing expert advice on planning matters.
  • Lead the production of proposals and tenders, enhancing the company's practice promotion efforts.
  • Identify opportunities that deliver multiple benefits for projects and stakeholders.

Person Specification:

  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, preferably in Town Planning or an environmental subject.
  • Full membership of the RTPI (or actively working towards it).
  • Membership of IEMA, REnvP, or CEnv is desirable, but not essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Previous consultancy experience is advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of the planning process, including current methods, legislation, and guidance.
