Senior Planner RoleAs a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in managing and driving forward renewable energy projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and innovative projects, contributing to the company's mission to deliver sustainable, long-term solutions for communities. You will work closely with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to navigate the complexities of the planning process, ensuring that all projects align with the latest regulations and best practices in energy and environmental planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning applications for renewable energy projects, including solar arrays and battery storage developments.
  • Provide strategic advice on planning, design, and environmental impact assessments.
  • Work closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Engage with local authorities and planning committees to ensure timely approvals.
  • Contribute to the continued development and growth of the company's energy planning sector.

About YouTHe successful Senior Planner candidate will bring a strong background in town planning, ideally with a specific interest or experience in energy-related developments. You will have a good understanding of the UK planning system, and knowledge of renewable energy projects would be highly advantageous. You will be a Chartered Member of the RTPI (or working towards it), with an RTPI-accredited degree or equivalent.

Essential Requirements:

  • RTPI-accredited degree or similar relevant qualification.
  • Chartered Member of RTPI or working towards (support provided for APC process).
  • Experience in planning practice, particularly within the energy sector, including solar arrays and battery storage.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK planning system.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with teams, stakeholders, and clients.
