Senior Transport Planner

Our client is an award-winning independent consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Transport Planner to join its growing team in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a wide variety of high-impact transport and development planning projects across the UK. The company supports clients from concept through to construction, offering integrated and innovative solutions that help create better places through great design.
As a Senior Transport Planning Consultant, you'll take a lead role in delivering technical outputs and driving forward planning-led transport projects. You'll be involved in everything from strategic master planning and movement strategies to supporting planning applications at various stages.

Key Responsibilities
路Produce technical documents including Transport Assessments, Statements, Access Appraisals, Travel Plans, and Active Travel Zone (ATZ) reviews.
路Undertake junction capacity modelling and swept path analysis using CAD tools.
路Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and wider project teams.
路Attend and represent the consultancy at planning meetings, public consultations, and exhibitions.
路Collaborate with colleagues across the transport planning team to deliver integrated solutions.
Requirements:
路A relevant degree (e.g., Transport Planning, Geography, Engineering, Mathematics, or Planning).
路At least 2 years' experience in transport planning within a consultancy or similar environment.
路Strong technical skills in TRICS, TEMPro, and Junctions 9 (Arcady/Picady); knowledge of LinSig, GIS or microsimulation would be a bonus.
路Ability to manage smaller projects independently, with a good eye for detail and strong report-writing skills.
路Familiarity with CAD, Excel, and other modelling/design tools.
