The Role as a Transport Planning Analyst:
As a Transport Planning Analyst, you will:
- Collect, analyse, and interpret transport data to support planning decisions.
- Use mathematical models and transport forecasting tools to assess demand and capacity.
- Work on projects related to traffic flow, public transport, and sustainable transport solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including local authorities and private sector clients.
- Produce reports and presentations with insights to inform transport strategies.
About You as a Transport Planning Analyst:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Mathematics, Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data interpretation and forecasting.
- Proficiency in Excel, GIS, Python, R, or transport modelling software (e.g., SATURN, VISUM, or TRICS) is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
