Resourcing Group are actively recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor or Service Manager to work on behalf of our clients regional Maintenance Group to supervise a team of maintenance operatives within healthcare/hospital environments across Bristol, Swindon and Salisbury.
This role is in place to ensure that our clients repairs and maintenance service delivery team complies with contract requirements, whilst providing supervision of maintenance operatives and sub-contractors, being the first point of contact for the client on site for operational requirements and to drive maintenance operative performance and efficiency's.
Responsibilities
- Effectively supervise a team of maintenance operatives to respond to reactive calls and PPMs in order to ensure smooth and efficient running of the day to day operations to meet SLA and KPI targets.
- Monitor Statutory Inspections and liaise with the PPM Coordinator / scheduler to ensure that they are completed on or before the planned date.
- Ensure defects or remedial works identified on PPM service record sheets or statutory inspection reports, are closed out within the stated timescale or escalated to Contract Manager where necessary.
- Ensure that stocks of spares and consumables are managed.
- Manage the on-call rota and provide on-call escalation support in-line with procedures.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored, maintained and accessible with appropriate calibration certificates.
- Ensure high quality workmanship through inspections and health & safety audits.
- Represent the business at client and third party audit meetings and develop operational action plans with the contract manager to deliver any audit items.
- Develop strong client relationships, dealing with operational issues and support the contract manager by providing operational detail at client meetings as required.
- Supervise subcontractor works and undertake subcontractor performance review meetings as required
- Identify opportunities for life-cycle investment and appropriate delivery of small works.
- Ensure accurate asset registers are maintained and variations are identified and costed in line with contract variation process.
- Issue and manage Permits to Work and ensure that the correct Permit is issued in line with the our HSQ&E PTW procedure
- Undertake regular tool box talks and safety briefings
Package and Requirements
The salary would be up to 43k basic plus a car allowance of 4,872. If we are looking at a temp then the car allowance can be wrapped into the salary but this would be split out when the role goes perm.
- Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
- On-call for phone support /escalation purposes only
- 25 days holiday, life assurance, income protection and private medical for self
- No restriction on make or model of vehicle for the car allowance, just that the vehicle needs to be roadworthy and no more than 10 years old or more than 150k miles. Flexibility would of course be given during the first 6 months.
Requirements
The role would suit someone with some FM management experience or a strong Supervisor who maybe wants to move away from the tools as a technical background would be useful.
- Must have the ability to use IT systems and be familiar with MS Outlook and basic excel/word
- Have an understanding of contractual obligations and experience in contractual record keeping and complying with policy and processes.
- Experience with client interaction would be beneficial
