We are seeking an exceptional MOT Tester to join our clients car dealerships. Our client is renowned for its commitment to excellence in the automotive industry. The Role:

As an MOT Tester, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the flawless operation of customers vehicles. Your expertise will be crucial in diagnosing and repairing vehicles, performing routine maintenance, and maintaining our reputation for delivering vehicles of the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting MOT Tests - Performing checks on vehicles to ensure they meet legal standards for safety, emissions, and roadworthiness.
  • Following DVSA Guidelines - Adhering to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) rules and regulations while conducting tests.
  • Inspecting Key Vehicle Components - Examining brakes, lights, tires, suspension, emissions, steering, and other critical parts.
  • Recording Test Results - Accurately documenting findings and issuing either a pass certificate or a failure notice with reasons.
  • Advising on Repairs - Informing vehicle owners about any issues found and necessary repairs.
  • Maintaining Equipment - Ensuring testing equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly.
  • Upholding Professional Standards - Providing fair, unbiased testing while maintaining high ethical and professional conduct.
  • Keeping Up to Date with Regulations - Staying informed about any changes in MOT testing laws and requirements.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as an MOT Tester
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • A passion for precision and a commitment to delivering top-notch service.
  • Technical certifications and training are a plus.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Must have an NVQ level 3 in Vehicle repair or equivalent
