Due to maternity leave they are now looking to add a Shipping coordinator to the team in a 1-year fixed term contract In Bristol.The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a logistics role and have experience in shipping coordination & imports & exports. You will enjoy being customer facing & be passionate about delivering a quality service, have high attention to detail and be good at multitasking.The role will involve coordinating shipments, preparing shipping documentation, and resolving any issues related to logistics or orders. The role requires attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and proficiency in managing both domestic and international shipping processes. The Shipping Coordinator will also liaise with couriers, track shipments, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.   • Coordinating and tracking shipments for import/export, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
  • Communicating with suppliers, clients, and service providers to manage logistics.
  • Ensuring compliance with local/international laws, VAT, and customs regulations.
  • Managing documentation, including customs declarations
  • Negotiating freight rates and supplier services
  • Maintaining accurate records of shipments, tariffs, and duties.
  • Assisting with spares processing, shipping, and customer issue resolution.
  • Organization of pallets, contractors, and shipping plans

The person:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (inc. imports & exports)
  • Excellent customer service & communication skills
  • Organized a multitasker and able to manage a busy workload
  • Autonomous, resilient & resourceful approach with a positive 'can do' attitude.
  • Looking for a fixed term contract role with a global company in a varied in interesting role
