The role is full time and offers an excellent chance to utilise passion and enthusiasm to enhance children's experiences learning to cook, as well as gain valuable hands-on experience in the Food Tech classroom setting.

The perfect Food Tech Teacher will:

Go above and beyond to ensure every child is actively involved in the learning process and benefits from the knowledge and skills you have to offer. Bring your subject to life! Be flexible and adaptable, to ensure they tailor their teaching style and respond effectively to a range of student behaviours. Communicate effectively to build a cohesive relationship with other teachers and ensure a trusting and insightful relationship with students. Emotional intelligence is vital to interactions in education! Be calm, patient and understanding; classrooms can be overwhelming environments and it is vital to be able to take a deep breath and accurately gauge the most effective and appropriate response, both managing tempers and diffusing situations

A candidate 'Must Have':

  • An enhanced DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this!)

  • Eligibility to work in the UK (No Sponsorships Provided)

  • Willingness or ability to work with children in a classroom setting

  • Experience in a Food Tech Teaching job (QTS or has relevent teaching experience)

  • The ability to teach up to GCSE.
