Food Technology Teacher required

Zen Educate is looking to take on a food technology teacher to work flexibly for a secondary school in Bristol. The school often have gaps within this subject, so for any teacher that is either a specialist or has a good level of experience in the food, there is part time work available to take on here.

As a teacher working with food, you will need to have a level 2 food hygene certificate.

The school which is located in the southern part of Bristol is part of a wider academy trust and has made some positive changes in the school to foster a respectful, open and well run environment. SLT is always on hand to help, and is visable to students throughout the day to ensure that between lessons students moving around is smooth and without incidents.

We are looking for a teacher that is great at keeping students engaged, safe whilst using cooking equipment and strong with classroom management.

Requirements;

- UK QTS, with ideally a specialism in food technology but this is not essential we are happy to have a teacher that has covered the subject many times before and is confident in it.

- Flexible to the needs of the school and happy to cover other subjects if and when needed.

- Strong classroom management and able to follow school behaviour policies.

- Can honour commitments and work taken and prove to be reliable, especially when the school could already be shortstaffed.

- Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or apply for one as part of your application.

Get in touch if you are interested in this teaching work and have a passion and interest in teaching students in the art that is cooking.
