Job role - Warehouse and Production Operative

Site Location: Yate, BS37

Contract: Permanent  

Shift: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

Pay rate- £26,000.00+

gap personnel are looking to recruit a Warehouse and Production Operative for a client based in Yate. Our client is an international manufacturer of plastic cards and accessories, facilitating the identification, access control, transportation, membership and incentivisation of millions of people globally every day.

This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced and varied role and is passionate about maintaining high standards in a warehouse environment. You will be responsible for managing, receiving, picking and dispatching deliveries on a daily basis.

The role

  • Receive, inspect, and organize incoming deliveries.
  • Pick, prepare and package orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Play a part in maintaining an orderly and clean warehouse environment and leading by example
  • Perform regular inventory checks and update stock records.
  • Repacking goods into different pack sizes, and changing the packaging of goods to customer specific requirements
  • Operate IT systems to effectively maintain accurate stock records, dispatch accurately and know how to best utilise all tools through showing an interest in learning all company systems to utilise most effectively.
  • Be available to update other team members by phone and email on order status
  • Picking and dispatching samples and customer call off orders
  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics service providers as needed.
  • Under direction of Production Manager, there is peaks in workflows that require team members to be crossed trained to run card personalisation, card attaching, and mailing machines to ensure the best utilisation of resources.

The candidate

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite, inventory systems).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Physically capable of handling warehouse duties (e.g., lifting and moving goods as required).
  • A team player with a proactive attitude and attention to detail.
