The Job:
On behalf of client we are seeking a Front end Web Developer on a 3 month contract. Working on a 3 month contract in a friendly team, they are looking for an experience Front end Web Developer. You will play a key role in designing and developing their next wave of flagship products, while also maintaining their existing software stack.
As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for producing clean, fully functional code, focusing on UI and web layout design, integration of backend data, as well as debugging and fixing bugs. You will primarily work with a variety of front-end web technologies like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. It would be an advantage to also have some experience with backend systems including C# .Net, ASP.NET MVC, and MySQL.
As a Web Developer, you will be proactive in the architecture, design, and development of current and future products, with a special focus on front-end development. You’ll help shape and deliver technical processes while collaborating with the team. You'll translate both functional and technical requirements into robust, scalable, and maintainable code for mobile and web applications developed on cloud infrastructure. You’ll be involved in the design and development of user interfaces, database models, and architectures. Additionally, you will take part in peer reviewing code and contribute to a culture of best practices.
The Person:
Our client is looking for someone who has 2 years experience as a Developer as well as the following skills and experience:
- HTML/CSS/JavaScript front-end development
- Experienced in producing standards-compliant, performant, and accessible websites
- Proficiency in web development principles, methodologies, architectural patterns, and design patterns
- Integration with external programs via APIs using XML/JSON
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines and manage multiple projects
Ideal skills also include
- UX design experience
- ASP.NET - MVC
- SOLID Principles / Object-Oriented Analysis / Object-Oriented Design
- REST API
- SQL (MySQL)
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Angular and/or React
- Git and GitHub
- Jira
The Location:
Bristol, South, Car Parking and Hybrid working 2 days per week at home
