Shift Patterns: 40 hrs Per Week Guaranteed, Full Time, Permanent

Information about the Role:

Working as a Registered Manager at Douglas House Care Home your duties will include the following:

路 As the Registered Manager for the service, always ensuring adherence with CQC minimum standards, maintaining safety for all persons involved with the service, and striving for excellence through a well led, safe, responsive, effective and caring service.

路 Actively participate in and arrange the induction, training and development of new staff, ensuring the principles of re-enablement are adopted in their work on a day-to-day basis, so that everyone is supported to remain as independent as they can be; maintaining high standards and actively intervening when new issues and needs are identified.

路 Set clear standards and expectations for staff that allow the service to reach and maintain a level of excellence in service delivery, organisation and knowledge.

路 Manage service delivery by implementing and maintaining systems for the planning, allocation and control of work to ensure all systems and documentation across the service are maintained in a timely and accurate way.

路 Effectively manage the safeguarding and complaints and compliments procedure, ensuring that concerns are acted upon and responded to in a timely manner.

路 Ensure all policies and procedures are always complied with across services, including health & safety, dignity and choice, equality and confidentiality.

路 Actively manage the service making use of performance and other data e.g. Civica reports; implement recommendations from internal reports and investigations; produce and analyse data to evidence quality, efficiency and growth of the service for senior managers and other stakeholders.

路 Work with your line manager to continue to implement and develop the services continuous action plan/risk register and Quality Management System.

路 Actively promote the work of the service to referrers, partners, commissioners, and other stakeholders to allow the business to grow and maintain effective working relationships with all.

路 Take an active lead in the assessment of all new service users referred to the service, ensuring that goals/outcomes are developed and then reviewed regularly to maximise.

Information about the Service:

We specialise in supporting people who have varying needs as a result of physical & long-term neurological conditions, including cancer care, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, epilepsy, brain injury, Huntington鈥檚 disease, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson鈥檚 disease, spina bifida & hydrocephalus and stroke. Our Registered Nurse teams are highly skilled and trained to deliver specialist and complex nursing care and have significant experience with tracheostomy, PEG/NG care, wound management and the provision of end-of-life care.

Our full-time support is flexible and designed to help build skills, inspire confidence and empower. We work directly with each individual to develop a personalised support programme based on their needs, wishes and aspirations. This includes personal care, health & wellbeing programmes, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, community engagement, enablement, volunteering and activities.

Necessary Experience or Qualifications to work as a Registered Manager:

路 Degree or similar level qualification.

路 Must have valid NMC pin as an RGN or RNLD

路 Preferably hold an NVQ4, QCF 5 or other recognised qualification.

路 Will consider Registered Managers or experienced Deputy Manager/ Clinical Leads.

路 Significant experience of operational and organisational management of a domiciliary, supported living or residential care service.

路 Including supervisions, appraisals, managing a budget, knowledge of rostering programmes.

路 Experience of leading a service to full compliance; experience of CQC inspection processes.

路 Creative problem solving for innovative service delivery.

路 Highly motivated to ensure a high-quality efficient and safe service.
