Sonic Summary

A Manufacturing Engineer with a background in Technical Manufacturing is needed for a role in Torbay.
The position involves improving and defining new processes for product release to manufacturing, along with providing technical support and cost improvement initiatives.
Candidates should have around 5 years of experience in a similar engineering or manufacturing role and familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and Lean Principles.
The salary for this permanent, full-time position is approximately £40-45k, in addition to a site bonus, pension, and benefits.

Manufacturing Engineer with a background in Technical Manufacturing required to join a site in Torbay.

Your primary responsibility will be to improve and define new processes for product release to manufacture.

The key duties for this position are to provide technical support to manufacturing with respect to product/process design and functionality and cost improvement.

You will provide production support with NPI projects and provide on hand shop floor support in each production area.

As Manufacturing Engineer, you will support the training of new and existing processes, raising training and process corrective actions with manufacturing when required.

With experience implementing LEAN and CI practices, you will drive the implementation and maintenance of best practices.

Qualifications:

Ideally a Degree / HND in Engineering or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:

Around 5 years experience in a similar engineering or manufacturing role is required.

Familiar with Lean Six Sigma and Lean Principles in volume manufacturing is required.
