We are looking for an Electrical Supervisor with a strong background in residential electrical systems to lead and manage the electrical team on-site. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a proven ability to ensure electrical work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the electrical team to ensure the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in a residential setting.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and standards.
- Oversee the planning and scheduling of electrical work to meet project timelines.
- Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and project progress.
- Perform quality control inspections of electrical installations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior electrical staff and apprentices.
- Ensure the proper use of electrical tools, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols and practices on-site.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and resolve any technical challenges that arise.
- Maintain project documentation, including work progress reports, material requisitions, and daily logs.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Valid Gold Card
- SSSTS / SMSTS
- Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor or similar role, ideally in residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, circuit boards, and electrical codes (NEC, local regulations).
- Experience managing electrical teams and coordinating large-scale projects.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
