SEN Teaching Assistant - Bank Staff (Daily Supply, Short-Term)

Location: Brixton, South London

Are you looking for flexible work that fits around your studies or other commitments?

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistants to support children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Schools across South London, Brixton are looking for individuals who either have experience or are eager to learn how to support children with additional needs, particularly those with SEMH or Special Educational Needs (SEN).

In this role, you'll assist students either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups within the classroom. The students you'll work with range in age from 2 to 19 and may have conditions such as Autism, ADHD, PDA, challenging behaviours, or physical disabilities like Down Syndrome. Your role will involve supporting the classroom environment, specialist mentoring sessions, and occasionally assisting during break times. Some students may display challenging behaviours, but training in effective intervention techniques will be provided.

As part of a collaborative support team, you will work closely with the SENCO, senior staff, and other professionals, including therapists, healthcare providers, and CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services).
