CNC 5-Axis Miller Setter
Location: Northampton
Salary: 37,500+ DOE
Hours: 38 hours per week
We are seeking an experienced CNC 5-Axis Miller Setter with programming capability to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming 5-axis CNC milling machines with Siemens controls, ensuring high-precision machining to tight tolerances of 1-2 microns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set, operate, and program 5-axis CNC milling machines using Siemens controls.
- Work to extremely tight tolerances (1-2 microns).
- Handle batch work ranging from 10-100 pieces.
- Read and interpret 2D engineering drawings accurately.
- Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Maintain high levels of precision and attention to detail in all machining tasks.
- Ensure machines are running efficiently and troubleshoot any issues.
- Adhere to company health and safety procedures.
- Proven experience in a CNC 5-axis milling role
- Strong programming capability with Siemens controls desirable however, training will be given if experienced on another machine
- Ability to read and understand 2D engineering drawings.
- Skilled in self-inspection of machined components to ensure quality.
- Experience working to extremely tight tolerances (1-2 microns).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
