Location: Northampton

We are seeking an experienced CNC 5-Axis Miller Setter with programming capability to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming 5-axis CNC milling machines with Siemens controls, ensuring high-precision machining to tight tolerances of 1-2 microns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set, operate, and program 5-axis CNC milling machines using Siemens controls.
  • Work to extremely tight tolerances (1-2 microns).
  • Handle batch work ranging from 10-100 pieces.
  • Read and interpret 2D engineering drawings accurately.
  • Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards.
  • Maintain high levels of precision and attention to detail in all machining tasks.
  • Ensure machines are running efficiently and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Adhere to company health and safety procedures.
Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a CNC 5-axis milling role.
  • Strong programming capability with Siemens controls.
  • Ability to read and understand 2D engineering drawings.
  • Skilled in self-inspection of machined components to ensure quality.
  • Experience working to extremely tight tolerances (1-2 microns).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
