JMC are working with a MAA Part 145 Approved Maintenance Orgainisation company based in Brize Norton looking to recruit a new HR Business Partner to join their team.
This is a Permanent Position based in Brize Norton
32 hours per week on site as a minimum
The Role
This role is solely accountable for the end-to-end Human Resources function including payroll and training. This role is responsible for the development and delivery of a HR strategy and plan to suit the changing business environment and deliver bottom line added value for the business. This role provides a primary relationship with business leaders to ensure the delivery of the HR plan and ensures that HR policies and procedures fit the needs, goals, and aims of the organisation.
Other duties involve:
-Lead and manage all day-to-day HR operations
-Partner with the local AAGDS team and the wider HR Team in developing the HR Strategy for the business.
-Collaborate with the wider HR team on all strategic projects and initiatives to bring consistency and clear line of sight at all times.
-Provide people leadership and development to the HR team (including Payroll and Training) at AAGDS.
-Provide the right mentoring, support and coaching to the HR Team with a strong results-oriented focus and ensuring the team are set up for success.
-Champion and drive change, adaptability and agility across the business and HR team.
-Support the AAGDS Management team in devising and implementing techniques to successfully drive change and culture throughout the business.
-Support in the implementation of key initiatives and business-related projects.
-Build and maintain strong and effective relationships across all roles in the organisation.
-Manage and optimise HR processes to allow for greater opportunity and delivery within the HR team to our stakeholder groups.
-Provide accurate data to the business to facilitate effective planning and decision making.
-Initiate and lead key HR and L & D projects and activities that contribute to building a positive high performing organisational environment.
-Provide advice and support in line with company policies to ensure best practice.
-Manage all Employee Relations processes, including investigation, disciplinary, grievance while giving proactive advice and support to managers and employees on all areas.
-Oversee Absence monitoring and analysis and provide guidance to the Payroll Administrator regarding the analysis and reporting of absence. Provide proactive advice and support to managers and employees on all areas.
-Own the relationship with the recognised Unions, managing consultation and pay negotiations processes.
-Work with and coach managers and leaders to get the best from their teams and manage issues when they arise, whilst also assisting them with delivering their plans.
-In collaboration with Talent Acquisition, manage the recruitment and selection function for AAGDS, from sourcing to onboarding and induction.
-Oversee the probation review process.
-Oversee the management and administration of employee benefits, Private Medical Insurance, Go Beyond recognition programme, HR policies and procedures.
-Manage the payroll function.
-Maintain and update personnel records within the HR database.
-Manage the annual PDR process.
-Oversee the management of weekly planned absence -annual leave, training, LTS to Planning for the maintenance plan.
-Any other duties and responsibilities identified by your manager as it relates to Human Resources
Skills and experience required.
In order to be successful in this role the HR business Partner will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
-Right to live and work in the UK
-Experience in a HR Business Partner capacity or similar which includes leading and managing employee relations and union activities.
-Experience in people management and providing pro-active, strategic advice to local management teams.
-Ability to work effectively in a team.
-Experience of giving sound HR advice and achieving tangible results within a busy HR environment
-Supporting managers in policy application
-Experience of delivering a range of HR projects and activities
-CIPD level 5 or equivalent experience
-Excellent time management and interpersonal/organisation skills
-Confident, proactive approach to work, enthusiastic with a professional communication style
-Team player with the ability to work with a degree of autonomy
-Good awareness of Aviation safety
