Looking for your next challenge? A leading and prestigious organisation in education based near Broadstairs, Kent has an exciting opportunity to join their management team as a Senior Accountant.
Playing a pivotal role in financial oversight, strategic planning and compliance, this role integrates financial governance with a strong commercial and operational focus ensuring the organisation with achieve strategic growth and sustainability.
The successful candidate will be entitled to a generous salary of up to £75k and generous benefits, including up to 38 days holiday plus bank holidays!
The Role
- Provide financial advice, commercial support to the Finance Director and other senior Directors and managers
- Contribute to the preparation and evaluation and commercial proposals
- Prepare, review and challenge financial business cases
- Develop and oversee annual budgets alongside the Finance Director
- Ensure accurate recording of transactions and adherence to audit standards
- Manage VAT returns and compliance with tax regulations
- Develop and lead a finance team that is collaborative and service centred
The Ideal Candidate
- Fully Qualified
- 5 years experience in financial analysis, planning and management
- Ability to demonstrate leadership and ability to continuously improve the finance function
- Experience in budget management
- Strong IT literacy
