In this role, you will provide high-quality support to young individuals, including unaccompanied asylum-seeking youth, helping them transition into adulthood and independent living. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and Guidance: Offer practical and emotional support to young people living independently.
  • Skill Development: Assist young people in developing essential independent living skills.
  • Promote Positive Choices: Encourage positive life decisions, including participation in social activities, budgeting, and pursuing education or training.
  • Care Plans: Regularly update and monitor progress in line with individual care plans.
  • Liaison: Collaborate effectively with social services and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each young person.
  • Service Development: Contribute to service planning, monitoring, and evaluation to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Equality and Inclusion: Respect and accommodate the cultural, religious, and physical needs of all young people.
  • On-Call Assistance: Participate in the on-call rota, offering support when needed.
  • Safeguarding: Identify and address safeguarding issues in accordance with company policies.
  • Team Coordination: Work collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality, compliant services.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Children's Social Care or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards it within a specified timeframe.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with The Children's Act and the Children's Social Care system is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with young people in a care setting is essential.
  • Skills: Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility: Ability to travel across a large geographical area regularly.
  • Driving License: A full UK driving license is required.
