Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Special Needs Primary Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children with diverse learning needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other learning difficulties. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of each student, ensuring they have the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a range of learning abilities.
  • Work closely with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic support for each child.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to teaching assistants and other staff involved in the education of students with special needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and developments in special needs education.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working as a Special Needs Teacher in a primary school setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of various special educational needs, including strategies for supporting children with ASD, ADHD, and other learning challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
