This role offers both day-to-day and long-term opportunities and can be tailored to suit either part-time or full-time availability.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting students with special educational needs, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Collaborating closely with teachers and SEN specialists, your work as an SEN Teaching Assistant will be vital in creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students with special educational needs.
- Assist in planning and implementing interventions tailored to individual education plans (IEPs).
- Foster an inclusive and engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation.
- Work collaboratively with staff to monitor and support students’ progress and well-being.
- Record achievements and provide constructive feedback to teachers and parents.
- Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children with diverse needs.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A valid driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle are preferable.
