Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking to make a difference in the lives of students with SEMH needs?
We are seeking an enthusiastic KS2 Teacher to join our supportive and dynamic team at an SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school. The successful candidate will have experience working with children who exhibit challenging behaviours and a deep commitment to supporting students' emotional and academic development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEMH.
- Develop individualised learning plans to support students in overcoming barriers to learning.
- Manage and respond to challenging behaviours using de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour management strategies.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, SENCO, and support staff to ensure students' holistic needs are met.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and development.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience working with children with SEMH or challenging behaviours.
- Strong understanding of SEND provisions and strategies to support pupils with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate and patient approach to teaching, with the ability to build positive relationships with students.
