Sales Engineer
This is a hybrid working role – candidates must be able to commute to Poole and hold a full UK driving licence
Basic salary £44,000 - Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm and Friday 8am to 1pm and excellent pension and benefitsÂ
As a Sales Engineer, you will be joining a global engineering business where you can progress your career and receive additional product training.
As a Sales Engineer, you will have a Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering background with extensive knowledge of assembly and manufacturing processes and estimating skills and able demonstrate a high level of commercial awareness and customer focus to generate quotations and proposals.
As a Sales Engineer, you will provide technical support to both internal and external customers and consult directly with customers, evaluate enquiries, and provide a suitable technical and commercial solution. A good understanding of sales techniques and negotiating is essential along with costing and pricing knowledge and experience engineering products.
Candidate
- Excellent organisational and inter-personal skills and highly confident
- Able to attend client visits, driving licence is essential
- Must have excellent Microsoft Office Skills and used a CRM System
- Highly motivated with excellent communication skills, written and spoken
- Ability to form strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
Duties Â
- You will consult directly with customers to evaluate technical enquiries and provide the most suitable technical and commercial solution displaying excellent communication skills.
- Follow up high value quotations and convert into orders, maintaining details on the customer relationship management system.
- Prepare quotations and negotiation, costing and margin analysis
- Convert customer technical enquires and transpose them to valve solutions fit for purpose.
- Liaise and support the customer service team to process enquiries, quotations, customer purchase orders
- Ensure compliance with the correct and relevant export control legislation
- Visit, liaise and support customers and external sales personnel to ensure that customer expectations are understood, and requirements are met
- Using Excel, you will calculate product costs using a combination of estimates and verified manufacturing costs.
- Assist product marketing in highlighting/identifying potential new product opportunities.
- Develop and work with a wide-ranging external network to enhance professional and technical knowledge.
- Attend sales exhibitions as required which may involve international travel
